Macomb women's basketball team spends second week at number four in Division II poll

The Macomb Community College women's basketball team is ranked fourth for the second straight NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Monarchs are 25-0 overall and 12-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were 2-0 last week defeating Delta College and Henry Ford College last week. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East district tournament, the first weekend in March. They will return to action on Wednesday when they host Oakland Community College. 

Mott Community College is also spending their second week at number 17 in the poll. The Bears are 23-3 and 12-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after beating Alpena Community College in a make up game last night. They were 2-0 last week beating St. Clair County Community College and Alpena CC. They return to action on Saturday when they host Oakland Community College. The Bears hav also clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship Tournament in March. 

Muskegon Community College remained static this week at number 18. The Jayhawks are 20-3 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Championship Tournament in March. They went 2-0 last week, beating Jackson College and Lake Michigan College. They will return to the hardwood on Wednesday when they host Kellogg Community College. 

Mid Michigan College is ranked 19th in the poll for the second straight week. The Lakers are 22-2 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have locked up a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Championship Tournament. They went 2-0 last week beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Kellogg Community College. They will be back on the court on Wednesday when they host Jackson College.
