Macomb women's basketball team moves up six spots to number eight in latest NJCAA Division II poll

The Macomb Community College women's basketball team vaulted up six spots to number eight in the latest NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Monarchs are 17-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were 2-0 last week defeating Delta College and Henry Ford College. They will return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to face Oakland Community College in a MCCAA Eastern Conference showdown. 

Mid Michigan College held steady at number ten this week. The Lakers are 14-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCCAA Western entering the week. They beat Kalamazoo Valley Community College in their only game last week. They will hit the road Wednesday to face Jackson College. 

Mott Community College moves up two spots to number 18 in this week's poll. The Bears started the week 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They won their only game last week beating Henry Ford College. They will next be in action on Saturday when they travel to face Oakland Community College. 

Oakland Community College enters the poll in the other schools receiving votes this week. The Raiders are 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were idle last week as their only game was postponed due to a snowstorm. They return to the hardwood on Wednesday when they host Macomb CC. 

Jackson College also enters the other schools receiving votes category. The Jets are 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They fell to Muskegon Community College in their only game last week. They return to the court on Wednesday when they host number ten Mid Michigan College. 

Muskegon Community College also enters the poll in the other schools receiving category. The Jayhawks enter the week with 11-2 overall record and 3-2 mark in the MCCAA Western Conference. They were 2-0 last week beating Jackson College and Lake Michigan College. Muskegon will be back in action on Wednesday at Kellogg Community College.
