KVCC's Atwater Makes Season Debut with MCCAA Western Conference Player of the Week Award

Ashton Atwater, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, is the MCCAA Western Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time in 2023-24. He joins Joe Liedel (twice) as the Cougars to have earned this honor four times.

A sophomore guard out of Otsego, Mich., Atwater pumped in 24 points per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field in two conference road wins. He also averaged 6.5 assists and 3.0 steals while maintaining an excellent 4.3 assist-to-turnover ratio.
