Ellisson of Mott's MVP tournament performance propels him to MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the week honors.
Mehki Ellison (Flint, MI/Carman-Ainsworth) freshman guard from Mott Community College has been selected as the MCCAA Eastern Conference Player if the Week honors. In three games, Ellison had 66 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, eight steals and two blocks in three games as the Bears won the NJCAA Great Lakes District A men's basketball Championship. The Championship sends the Bears to Danville, IL for the 11th time. Ellison was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. Aidan Rubio of Macomb CC was also nominated for the award.
