Muskegon's Willo Staal Nabs Last MCCAA Northern Conference Softball Player of the Week Award in 2024

Willo Staal, Muskegon Community College, is the MCCAA Northern Conference Softball Player of the Week7 to earn the final award this spring.

The sophomore utility/catcher from Fruitport, Mich., went 10-for-19 for a .526 batting average over six starts. Staal smashed three home runs and had two doubles as part of a .591 on-base percentage and 1.105 slugging percentage. She accounted for 18 runs for the Jayhawks including 11 scored. She also was credited with a win in the circle in two appearances and had a 1.000 fielding percentage in 25 total chances.
