Four MCCAA softball players earn NJCAA Division II All-American Honors

Four MCCAA softball players have earned NJCAA Division II All-American Honors this season. Lansing's Megan Mann earned Second Team Honors, while Moya Jones (Henry Ford), Makayla Thompson (Muskegon) and Ivy Velazquez (Oakland) earned Third Team honors.

Mann played in 40 game with 139 at bats, 68 hits, 56 runs, 21 doubles, 19 home runs and 55 RBIs. She hit .489 for the season and stole one base. 

Jones played in 39 game with 130 at bats, 67 hits, 39 runs, 11 doubles, one triple and 23 home runs. She hit .515 and had 17 stolen bases. 

Thompson pitched in 27 games with a 18-5 record with four saves and 17 complete games. In 138 and 2/3 innings she allowed 173 hits, 63 runs, 37 earned, 27 walks, 134 strike outs and a 2.37 ERA. She also hit .370 for the season with seven doubles, one triple, one home run and 16 RBIs

Velazquez played in 48 games with 171 at bats, 77 hits, 68 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs and 53 RBIs. She hit .450 for the season with 14 stolen bases.
