MCCAA Cross Country Programs Prep for Friday’s Championship Event

It's that time of year again, time to crown MCCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Champions! On Friday (Oct. 25), men's and women's teams from across the MCCAA will converge upon Goodells County Park in Goodells, Mich., for the 2024 MCCAA and Region XII Cross Country Championships. The women's 5K race opens the action at 12 p.m. while the men's 8K will follow at 1 p.m. A championship ceremony celebrating conference and region team champions, and individual honors such as All-MCCAA, All-Region and the Runners of the Year, will take place following the men's race.

Historically one of the best conferences in NJCAA Division II Cross Country, the MCCAA boasts several teams ranked in the latest USTFCCCA Polls. Here is a look at where teams from the MCCAA stand in their respective national polls entering Championship Friday.

AWARDS

The MCCAA will crown team champions in the men's and women's race while the top 20 men's runners and top 19 women's runners earn All-MCCAA honors (per sport declaration numbers).
