Lansing finishes fifth, Grand Rapids has two All-Americans at NJCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Nationals

The Lansing Community College men's cross country team finished fifth on Saturday at the NJCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Tournament at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, VA. The Stars finished with 135 points just five points behind Mesa (AZ) Community College. They were lead by Erik Reiber, who finished 18th in a time of 26:20.8. Lansing's top five runners finished between 18th and 34th in the race. The five runners finished within a spread of 45 seconds, second to only third place Heartland (IL) CC at 40 seconds. 

Grand Rapids CC finished seventh in the Championship. The Raiders had two All-Americans. Returning All-American Joshua Kipkoech finished 11th in a time of 25:55.0 to earn NJCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American Honors. MCCAA Champion, Coleman Clark finished 13th in the race in a time of 25:58.9 to also earn NJCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American Honors. 

St. Clair County Community College finished 13th with 375 points. The Skippers top runner was Hunter Richards, who ran the 8,000 kilometer course in a time of 27:27.1 to finish 40th. 

Oakland Community College finished 20th in the race and were lead by Bradley Baxter who crossed the line in a time of 28:16.7 to finish 73rd. Ancilla College finished 28th with 829 points. Their top harrier was Nathan Samuels who finished 135th in a time of 29:50.3. 

In the Division III meet in Milledgeville, GA, Kellogg Community College's Hunter Finnila finished 76th in a time of 30:12.25.
