KVCC Sweeps Final 2024 MCCAA Western Conference Baseball Weekly Awards
Kalamazoo Valley Community College sweeps the last MCCAA Western Conference Baseball weekly awards of the 2024 season as sophomore Brendan Burch (Kalamazoo, Mich./Plainwell High School) is the pitcher honoree and classmate Garrett Swan (Grass Lake, Mich./Jackson Lumen Christi High School) is the player recipient.
Burch went 2-0 on the mound with five strikeouts and no walks in eight scoreless innings when he gave up just four hits. He produced a 0.50 WHIP.
At the plate, Swan struck for a .533/.611/1.200 slashline. He homered twice and had nine runs batted in. He also scored six runs himself.
