Macomb Sweeps Final MCCAA Eastern Conference Baseball Weekly Awards for 2024

For the fourth time this season, Macomb Community College Baseball has swept the MCCAA Eastern Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week awards to end 2024. Sophomores Hector Jaimes and Brady Krzciok are the pitcher and player of the week, respectively, so honored for the first time since Week 5.

Jaimes, a righty from Trenton, Mich., picked up the rare two wins as a starting pitcher, winning game one of a halted game against St. Clair Community College before coming on in the nightcap of a tripleheader. He struck out 10 batters in 10 scoreless innings overall to go along with a 1.20 WHIP and .200 batting average against.

Krzciok, who is a three-time honoree this spring, posted a .556/.710/1.278 slashline with four home runs and 10 runs batted in. The Clarkston, Mich., product drew 11 walks and scored 11 runs over seven games as the NJCAA Division II batting average leader helped the Monarchs to a 7-0 week and a share of the MCCAA Eastern Conference title for the first time since 1995. The first baseman also tied the school single-season home run record at 12.
