Lansing CC's Hunter Shaw Named NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Year

Lansing Community College freshman left-handed pitcher, Hunter Shaw, has been selected as the NJCAA Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Year. The Chelsea, Mich. product went 9-2 with a 1.58 ERA and only allowed 11 earned runs in 14 appearances (62.2 IP) this season to help lead the Stars to the semifinals of the NJCAA Division II World Series. Shaw struck out 88 batters and posted three games with 10 or more strikeouts as part of a 12.64 K/9 ratio this season. Adding to the NJCAA Division II National Pitcher of the Year honor, Shaw's efforts led him to earning the following accolades: First Team All-American, All-Region, All-MCCAA and First Team Western Conference.

Shaw will continue his career at The Ohio State University next year.
