National Academic Honors! 60 Teams, 518 Student-Athletes Recognized by NJCAA for Academic Excellence
The NJCAA has announced the 2023-24 Academic Awards and the MCCAA was well-represented with 60 teams named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year and a total of 518 student-athletes recognized on the association's various All-Academic Teams. To earn Academic Team of the Year status, a team must post a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above throughout the academic year. As for All-Academic Team honors, the NJCAA breaks it into three teams with the first team honors reserved for student-athletes who posted a 4.00+ GPA, second team between a 3.80-3.99 GPA and third team recognition between 3.60-3.79.
Of note, Mid Michigan College women's bowling took home the NJCAA Women's Bowling Academic Team of the Year after posting the top GPA in the sport, while 85 MCCAA student-athletes posted a perfect 4.00 GPA!
Congratulations to all on a great academic year!
