REPEAT: Lansing CC women's cross country team wins second straight NJCAA Division II Championship

For the fourth time in school history the Lansing Community College women's cross country team has won back-to-back National Championships beating runner up Mesa Community College by one point. The Stars won back-to-back championships in 1991 and 1992 and then again in 1994 and 1995, then once again in 2015 and 2016. Lansing placed six runners in the top 20 and four in the top 15 earning NJCAA All-American honors. Jana Stiffler finished sixth earning Second Team All-American honors. Barbara DeGood finished 11th, Haley Ellis finished 12th and Katelyn Slone finished 15th earning them Honorable Mention All-American honors. Ellis is now a two-tiem All-American. 

Grand Rapids Community College finished seventh in the Championship paced by Kaylee Scott, who finished 21st and Audrey Meyering who crossed the line in 23rd place. Southwestern Michigan College finished 13th with Morgan Kesteloot finishing 42nd. Mott Community College finished 14th with Claire Hunt finishing 49th and Emily Grob 61st. 

Oakland Community College placed both of their runners in the top 60 as Amy Rowan was 24th and Makenzie Montagano was 53rd. St. Clair County Community College's Elizabeth Sliman was 68th.
