Gorney of Jackson snares MCCAA Eastern Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors

Jackson College freshman outside hitter Kate Gorney (Brooklyn, MI/Onsted) has earned MCCAA Eastern Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honors this week. Gorney had 32 kills and his .315 in two matches last week. She also added 14 digs, three blocks and two aces as the Jets closed out their season with a pair of victories. Also nominated were Christina Bohm of St. Clair County CC, Maysa Davis of Mott CC, Sydney Murray of Henry Ford College, Emma Sellers of Oakland CC and Kelsey Trombley of Schoolcraft College.
