Kellogg CC's Airanna Griecci Earns Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Airanna Griecci, of Kellogg Community College, is the MCCAA Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the period ending Sept. 10.
A freshman from Chelsea, Griecci came up with five huge saves against St. Clair County Community College to preserve a 3-1 win. Two of her most important saves came from free kicks just outside the 18-yard box as she tipped each shot just over the crossbar. Playing through a lot of contact on crosses and corner kicks, she persevered after two separate visits from the training staff and continued to play.
