Skipper's Colley earns MCCAA Wrestler of the Week honors
St. Clair County Community College freshman Jimmy Colley (Otisville, MI/Davison) has been named MCCAA Wrestler of the Week honors. Colley was perfect at the Olivet College duals on Saturday, winning all three matches.
In the first match Colley wrestled and pinned Austin Ryder of Mt. Union in just 20 seconds. The fall tied the match at 24-24 but Mt. Union won the tiebreaker. In the second match against Alma College, Colley wrestled at the 197 weight class and defeated Max Kyser by a fall at the 1:31 mark as the Skippers defeated Alma College 40-17. Against Olivet College in the last match Colley was again at the 197 weight class and won by Technical Fall 16-1. Colley is currently undefeated in dual meets and 12-1 in all bouts. Matthew Martinez of Southwestern Michigan College was also nominated.
