Oakland's Michael claims MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Player of the Week honors

Oakland Community College freshman infielder Sammy Michael (Newport, MI/Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central) has been selected as the MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Player of the Week. Michael hit .545 (6 of 11) with one double, one home run, seven RBI and five runs. She was key to the Raiders claiming the NJCAA Great Lakes District B Championship last weekend. Jordyn Hobson of Mott Community College and Bridget Bogdon of Schoolcraft College were also nominated.
