Five home run week earns Hawks' Atherton MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors
Henry Ford College freshman first base Anna Atherton (New Boston, MI/Huron) has been selected as the MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Player of the Week. Atherton hit .667 (16 of 24) with four doubles, five home runs, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored and three walks in six games. Also nominated for the award were Ivy Velazquez of Oakland Community College, Elizabeth Townsend of Macomb Community College, Jill Widner of Mott Community College and Paige Postma of Delta College.
