LCC's Dennis Honored Again as the MCCAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Lansing Community College sophomore Michael Dennis is the MCCAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending Sept. 24. Dennis also claimed similar MCCAA honors during the opening week.

The St. Johns High School (Mich.) graduate finished second at the Stars' own LCC Invitational on Sept. 22, completing the 8-kilometer course in 25 minutes and 20 seconds. The field included 178 individuals, including race winner Dillan Haviland, a former LCC runner who is an All-American and school record holder in the mile at NCAA Division II Northwood University.

The time is one of the best times ever run by an NJCAA athlete on Lansing's home course.
