Lansing Community College Headlines 2023 All-MCCAA Cross Country Awards
BYRON CENTER, Mich.--The Michigan Community College Athletic Association put a bow on the 2023 men's cross country season with the MCCAA Championships held at Douglas Walker Park. COMPLETE RESULTS
Under head coach James Robinson, Lansing Community College swept the team and individual titles. The Stars occupied six of the top 10 places in the overall standings, where sophomore Michael Dennis covered the 8-kilometer course in 25 minutes and 4.7 seconds for first place. Lansing CC had 21 points as a team to easily outdistance runner-up Southwestern Michigan College (82 points) and third-place St. Clair County Community College (94).
As a result, Robinson was selected the MCCAA Coach of the Year award and Dennis was selected the MCCAA Runner of the Year. Robinson repeated as the conference's COY and the Stars have won three straight MCCAA titles among 27 overall in program history.
