Kellogg Bruins Sweep MCCAA Western Conference Baseball Week5 Honors
Kellogg Community College sophomores Henry Stempky and Aaron Piasecki are the MCCAA Western Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week5, respectively.
Stempky, a right-hander from Cheboygan High School, threw a complete-game shutout victory in which he struck out five and issued no walks. He allowed just one hit and produced a 0.20 WHIP.
Offensively, Piasecki rapped a .643/.722/1.214 slashline over five games. The Muskegon, Mich., and Mona Shores High School product had a home run and 13 runs batted in. He put further pressure on the defense with three stolen bases, three walks and seven runs scored.
