MCCAA Western Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors go to Dykstra of Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids Community College freshman outfielder/first baseman Ryan Dykstra (Byron Center, MI/South Christian) has been named MCCAA Western Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Dykstra hit .571 (4 of 7) with a double, a walk, three runs scored and a stolen base. The stolen base was a walk off steal of home to clinch the Raiders upset of Jackson College to advance to the next round of the NJCAA Region XII Baseball Championship. Jake Martin of Mid Michigan College was also nominated.
