Grand Rapids finished fourth, St. Clair fifth at NJCAA Division II women's cross country National Championship

The Grand Rapids Community College women's cross country team finished fourth on Saturday at the NJCAA Division II National Championship in Fort Dodge, IA. The Raiders finished with 125 points, 57 points behind the champion Cowley (KS) College. St. Clair County Community College finished fifth at the meet with 178 points. Muskegon Community College placed 12th at the meet, while Mott Community College was 15th. 

On the individual side, Audrey Meyering of Grand Rapids finished eighth in a time of 19:51.06 for the five kilometer course. Meyering earned NJCAA Division II women's cross country Second Team All-American honors. Kiah Becker of Grand Rapids finished 16th in a time of 20:09.55, while Caitlyn Rogers of St. Clair County Community College finished 20th with a time of 20:12.65. Lily Connelly of St. Clair County CC finished 23rd with a time of 20:18.36. Grand Rapids' Elizabeth Meyering finished 32nd in 20:53.92 and Macy Whipple of Muskegon Community College finished 39th with a clocking of 21:01.84.
