Macomb women's basketball is up to number three in latest NJCAA Division II poll

The Macomb Community College women's basketball team moved up one spot to number three in this week's NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Monarchs are 28-0 overall and 15-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after defeating #16 - Mott Community College on the road. They went 2-0 last week defeating Oakland Community College and Wayne County Community College District. They have clinched the MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship and will be the number one seed in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship next week. They will close out the regular season on Wednesday when they host Alpena Community College. On Saturday, they will travel to Muskegon for the MCCAA Women's Basketball Championship against Muskegon Community College at 1 PM. 

Mott CC moved up two spots to number 16 this week. The Bears are 24-4 overall and 13-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after falling to number three Macomb CC last night. They went 2-0 last week beating Alpena Community College and Oakland CC. They have clinched the number two seed in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship and will host a quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 3. They will play Schoolcraft College on Wednesday to close out the regular season. 

Muskegon Community College falls one spot this week to number 19 in the poll. The Jayhawks are 23-3 overall and 15-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference after beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College last night. They went 2-0 last week defeating Kellogg Community College and Grand Rapids CC. They have clinched at least a share of the Western Conference title and have clinched the number one seed in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Championship. They will host number three Macomb Community College on Saturday for the MCCAA Women's Basketball Championship Game. They will close out the season on Wednesday when they travel to face Glen Oaks Community College.
