Lansing CC men's cross country claims 23rd straight MCCAA title

The Lansing Community College men's cross country team won their 23rd straight MCCAA Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, MI. The championship was their 24th title overall in MCCAA men's cross country. The last time someone other than Lansing won the title was in 1996 when Macomb Community College claimed the championship. Lansing CC finished with a total of 21 points. 

Lansing CC had four of the top five finishers, including Dillian Haviland who won the race with a time of 25:48.0. He was followed by teammates Jacob Ferguson and Christopher Davis in second and third respectively. David Carnago of Macomb CC finished fourth with a time of 26:50.0. Joel Fudge of Lansing CC finished out the top five. Those five along with  Kyle Strong of Kellogg Community College, Mark Wood of Mott Community College, Tylor Ross of Alpena Community College and Ben Schmidt of Muskegon earned All-MCCAA honors. 

Mott Community College finished second with 80 points, while Grand Rapids Community College as third with 117 points. Lansing also claimed the NJCAA Region XII Men's Cross Country Title.
