Mott CC men's basketball ranked 12th in NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll
The Mott Community College men's basketball team is ranked 12th in the NJCAA Division II men's basketball pre-season poll. The Bears finished last season 25-6 overall record and in second place in the MCCAA Eastern Conference with a 12-4 mark. They fell in the NJCAA District 10 Tournament semi-finals to St. Clair County Community College. They will open the season on Friday, November 1 when they host Jackson College.
Schoolcraft College is ranked 13th in the pre-season rankings. The Ocelots finished last season with a 6-20 overall and 5-11 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They will open the season on November 2 when they travel to play Columbus State Community College.
Ancilla College is ranked 18th in the poll. The Chargers finished last season with a 24-11 overall record and a 12-6 mark in the MCCAA Western Conference. They won the NJCAA District 9 Championship and qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament and finished eighth in the Nation. They open their 2019-20 campaign on November 2 when they go on the road to face Owens Community College.
St. Clair County Community College is 19th in the pre-season poll. The Skippers ended last season with a 27-8 overall and 11-5 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They won the NJCAA District 10 Championship and went to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament where they went 0-2. They will open the season on November 1 when the go to Grand Rapids to face Aquinas College JV.
Lansing Community College is in the other schools receiving votes category in the poll. The Stars finished last season with a 16-13 overall record and a MCCAA Western Conference record of 13-5. They fell in the NJCAA District 9 quarterfinals to end last season. They will open their 2019-20 campaign on November 9 when they host Olivet College JV.
Henry Ford College is also in the other schools receiving votes category as well. They Hawks finished 23-9 overall and won the MCCAA Eastern Conference with a 13-3 record. They also won the MCCAA Championship defeating Grand Rapids Community College. They lost in the NJCAA District 10 championship to St. Clair County CC. They will start the 2019-20 season on November 2 when they host Edison State Community College.
