As of March 31, 2023, Muskegon Community College has discontinued its broadcast over Comcast Channel 98 in Muskegon County and Channel 902 in Newaygo County. It is important to note that MCC TV continues to be an important communication tool for the College and a critical part of our instructional program. MCC’s instructors and industry experts will continue to prepare our future broadcast professionals.

The Classic Arts Showcase and Deutsche Welle programs are streamed live and free of charge and can be accessed online. MCC athletic, lecture, DEI, faculty, and other College-related programs will continue to be viewed on our YouTube Channel and at mccyoucan.org.

Since the early 1970’s, Muskegon Community College has managed a public access TV station and used it to broadcast educational, cultural, and informative programs that advanced the mission of the College. MCC athletic events have been broadcast via this channel as well.

After many years of community service and support, there is not the same level of interest in the MCC TV Channel and a significant financial investment is required to upgrade our operating system. Times have changed. The launch of hundreds of other TV channels, the Internet, YouTube, and streaming TV has replaced the need to maintain a public access channel. Today we deliver videos via YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and our mccyoucan.org website.

Thank you to our TV audience members.
