Grand Rapids ranked ninth in NJCAA Division II women's volleyball pre-season poll

The defending MCCAA Champion Grand Rapids Community College volleyball team is ranked ninth in the NJCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Pre-Season poll. The Raiders were 31-8 overall last year and were the MCCAA Western Conference Champions with a 15-1 record. They also won the NJCAA District F Championship and advanced to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, where finished sixth in the nation. 

Muskegon Community College is the other schools receiving votes category in the pre-season rankings. The Jayhawks finished last season with a 32-12 overall record and finished second in the MCCAA Western Conference with a 14-2 record. They lost to Grand Rapids CC in the MCCAA Championship match and were runner up in the NJCAA District F Tournament. 

Both teams will kick off the season this Friday at the McHenry County College Tournament in Rockford, IL.
