Grand Rapids DeJonge named NJCAA Division II First Team Volleyball All-American

Grand Rapids Community College sophomore middle blocker Kendra DeJonge has been named to the NJCAA Division II Volleyball First Team All-American. DeJonge, who was the MCCAA Western Conference Player of the Year, lead the Raiders 31-8 overall record and a MCCAA and Western Conference title. Grand Rapids finished sixth in the NJCAA Division II Tournament. DeJonge finished with 509 kills in 125 sets with a .220 hitting percentage and averaged 4.07 kills per set. She had 49 blocks, 428 digs, 52 aces and 31 set assists. DeJonge was a NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American last season. 

Muskegon Community College sophomore middle hitter/outside hitter Julie Brown has earned NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American Honors. Brown lead the Jayhawks 32-12 overall record as they finished second in the MCCAA Western Conference. Brown had 425 kills in 150 sets for a 2.83 kills per set average. She hit .360 with 151 blocks, 112 digs, 45 service aces and five assists for the MCCAA runner-up team.
