Grand Rapids CC volleyball moves up to number seven in this week's Division II poll

The Grand Rapids Community College volleyball team moved up one spot to number seven in this week's NJCAA Division II volleyball poll. The Raiders are 17-2 overall and 10-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They won their only match last week defeating number 17 Muskegon Community College to claim first place in the Western Conference outright. They will return to action tonight when they face Lake Michigan College at Northview High School in Grand Rapids. 

Muskegon Community College is 17th again this week in the poll. They Jayhawks are 21-9 overall and 10-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They were 1-1 last week losing to then number eight Grand Rapids CC before beating Glen Oaks Community College. They will return to the court Thursday when they host Lake Michigan College in a Western Conference match. 

Oakland Community College enters the poll in the other school receiving votes category this week. The Raiders are 12-5 overall and 7-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They went 4-0 last week beating St. Clair County Community College, Mott Community College and taking two matches from Alpena Community College. They return to action tonight when the host Schoolcraft College.
