Grand Rapids volleyball ranked fourth in first regular season volleyball poll

The Grand Rapids Community College women's volleyball team is ranked fourth in the first regular season poll. The Raiders, who are 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference, were ranked eighth in the pre-season poll. Their only loss this season is to second ranked Parkland College. They have defeated Glen Oaks CC, Muskegon CC, Waubonsee (IL) CC, Vincennes (IN) University, Mott CC ad Lake Michigan College. They are hosting Ancilla College tonight. 

Muskegon Community College moved up six spots from the pre-season poll to number 14. The Jayhawks are 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Three of their losses have come to ranked teams, losing twice to number two Parkland and then number eight Grand Rapids. Their other losses were to Owens CC and Des Moines (IA) Area CC. They have beaten, Kalamazoo Valley CC, Harper (IL) College (Division III number two), Lansing CC, Sinclair CC, St. Clair County CC, Cuyahoga CC, then number 12 McHenry (IL) County College and Glen Oaks CC. They are playing at Lake Michigan College next Tuesday in a Western Conference match.
