Southwestern Michigan's Heath Takes First 2024 MCCAA Wrestler of the Week Award

Southwestern Michigan College's Hunter Heath is the first MCCAA Wrestler of the Week for 2023-24.

At 165 pounds, he went 4-0 to win his weight class at the season-opening Pepsi/Patriot Open Tournment that featured 30 teams. He earned falls against Montevallo, Cumberlands (Tenn.) and an unattached individual, as well as a 10-7 decision against an opponent from Cumberlands (Ky.)

Hunter is a reigning conference champion and national qualifier who is currently ranked sixth in the NJCAA.
