The Macomb Community College women's basketball team won their 32nd consecutive game, beating Mott CC 79-60 in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Tournament. Macomb jumped out to a 27-11 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Mott was led by Chi'Anne Gloster with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Imani Thompson added 14 points and seven rebounds. Serena Rice had 12 points and six rebounds, Sasha Penn added nine points and six assists. The Bears finish the season with a 26-5 record.
The Monarchs were led by Alicia Norman with 26 points and four assists, while Olivia Russell had 13 points and five rebounds. Sami Klink chipped in 11 points and four rebounds, while Emily Swiercz chipped in 11 points.
Macomb advances to the NJCAA Division II National championship with a 32-0 record.
