Lake Michigan College ranked 20th in the first regular season women's basketball poll

The Lake Michigan College women's basketball team is ranked 20th in the first regular season NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Red Hawks are 1-1 overall after losing to Bryant & Stratton (WI) College and beating Alpena Community College last week. They will return to action on Wednesday when they face Andrews University on the road. 

Mott Community College enters the poll in the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Bears are 4-0 so far this season after beating Kellogg CC, Siena Heights University JV and University of St. Francis JV last week. 

Wayne County Community College District is also in the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Wildcats are 2-3 overall after losing to Tohono O'odham CC, Glendale CC and South Mountian CC. They will return to action on Friday when they face Mid Michigan College in Grand Rapids. 

Mukegon Community College is in the others receiving votes category as well. The Jayhawks are 1-0 after beating Aquinas College JV last week. They return to the hardwood on Saturday when they play at Schoolcraft College. 

Macomb Community College is the final MCCAA team in the others receiving votes category. The Monarchs are 4-0 overall after beating Rochester University, Concordria University JV and Ablion College JV. They will return to action on Saturday when they are at number nine Owens Community College.
