Macomb CC Sweeps MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball Week4 Accolades
Macomb Community College has earned a sweep of the MCCAA Eastern Conference Softball weekly awards, with Katelyn Thomas (Macomb, Mich.) recognized as the player of the week and Grace Dzikowski picked as pitcher of the week.
Dzikowski, a freshman from St. Clair Shores, Mich., who can also play the outfield, pitched a complete-game victory. She had nine strikeouts, did not give up an earned run and scattered three walks while allowing just two hits. She recorded a 0.71 WHIP.
Thomas, a sophomore out of Macomb, Mich., who also won the MCCAA honor last week, slashed .500/.571/1.000 with a home run and three runs batted in.
