Lansing CC softball ranked 12th, Mott 18th in NJCAA Division II pre-season softball poll

The Lansing Community College women's softball team is ranked 12th in the NJCAA pre-season softball poll The Stars finished last year with a 41-11 overall record and claimed the MCCAA Western Conference title with a 24-4 conference mark. Lansing was the MCCAA softball champions last year defeating Kalamazoo Valley Community College 6-3. They won the NJCAA Region XII District I Championship over Jackson College by a score of 8-1. By winning the District title they earn a trip to the NJCAA Division II National Softball Championship where they went 1-2. They will open the season on March 1 at the Coastal Alabama CC Tournament. 

Mott Community College is ranked 18th in the poll. The Bears finished 33-17 overall and 22-6 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. The Bears won the MCCAA Eastern Conference and the NJCAA Region XII District J Tournament. They qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Softball Championship where finished with a 0-2 record. They open their season on March 10 when they play Mercyhurst (PA) North East in Kissimmee, FL.
