Mott's Ellison Collects Fifth MCCAA Eastern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Citation

Mott Community College sophomore guard Mehki Ellison has been named the MCCAA Eastern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the fifth time to wrap up the 2023-24 season. He also earned the weekly award on Feb. 7, Dec. 20, Nov. 30 and Nov. 15.

The Flint resident became the Bears' all-time leading scorer with 1,368 points after netting 32 in the team's regular-season finale against Henry Ford College, an 86-71 victory. He also had eight rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting 44.0 percent (11-25) from the field and 87.5 percent (7-8) at the free throw line.
