NJCAA Division II pre-season baseball poll has Kellogg ranked seventh

The Kellogg Community College baseball team is ranked seventh in the NJCAA Division II pre-season baseball poll that was released today. The Bruins finished last season with a 45-8 overall and won the MCCAA Western Conference with a 23-1 record. They claimed the MCCAA Baseball Championship beating Lansing Community College 2-0. They fell in the NJCAA Region XII Championship game to Sinclair (OH) Community College by a score of 11-7. Kellogg will open their season on February 22 at number one Louisiana State University-Eunice. 

Lansing Community College is ranked 20th in the poll. The Stars finished last season with a 40-12 overall record and claimed the MCCAA Eastern Conference title with a 24-4 record. They will kick off the season on March 3rd at the RussMatt Tournament with a game versus Frederick (MD) Community College.
